I was staying in the upstairs bedroom. For about a week every night when I went to bed I would shut off the light and see a glowing shape sitting in the corner of the bedroom. At first I thought it was light coming in through the window or from underneath the door. It did not move, I did not feel cold spots, and I was not afraid of it. The light was actually peaceful so I just went to bed. One night I decided to be brave and test what was causing it. Just to make sure it wasn't caused by outside light, I closed the curtains (I even clipped them with clothespins). When I turned around it was still there. I went over to the door and put a towel under it. I thought light from the hallway may be causing it. Wrong. I turned around and yes it was still there. After what I did I should have been sitting in a pitch black room but yet there was still this glowing figure sitting in the corner. That is when I started thinking that this may be possibly a spirit. It was wide on the bottom and narrow on the top and the light appeared to go up about 3 and a half feet. I thought that if this was a person then whoever it was sitting Indian style in the corner. The shape was there for a few more nights after and then it disappeared. I have a few theories on who it might have been. I personally believe it is a relative of mine checking on me. One possibility is my Aunt Beverly. She died about twelve years before I was born and for some reason I've always felt close to her. It could have also been my grandmother on my mother's side. Either way is fine. I don't have any problems being visited by good spirits.
