Please explain your experience:

My wife had been hearing knocking sounds at night and saw lights.   She also smelled smoke a lot in her room only at night.   I bought a video camera to see if I could capture it on film.   I have a lot of video of moving lights in the living room.   They seem to go right through the walls.   I am unable to see it while I am filming, but when I play back the tape I see it clearly.   My wife recently was talking to a new coworker and telling her where she lived because we are thinking of buying this house.   When her co-worker heard the address she told my wife “are you sure you want to buy that house”, because that block is haunted.   This surprised my wife that this stranger would say something we already felt.   She said her friend lived in the house around the corner and had to move because she was constantly feeling ghosts and would come home to see her furniture moved around.  One night she saw someone in the garage; the police came and saw its shadow inside.  They surrounded the garage with drawn guns but when they got inside it was empty.   She said other people in the little area also have these encounters. Most of the houses around this block are old and run down. They were built mostly in the 1940s.  There is an old people rest home 2 houses down, I don't know if that has anything to do with it?
