In what was a very interesting conversation, the attorneys for Conrad Murray advised the judge Conrad Murray was advised of his rights to testify and Ed Chernoff added the doctor has four very competent lawyers. The judge, citing case law from the Appellate court, reminded the parties that he wanted to advise too. Jokingly he called it “the Michael Pastor law."
Since Conrad Murray is not on the witness list, this does signify he won’t be speaking in his own defense on the situation. The only time the jurors have heard from the man is during a taped police interview where he shared the happenings with detectives. In a risky move not to take the stand, the doctor could find his former words being what convicts him as there are inconsistencies in his story and timeline.
Conrad Murray could change his mind, but with the witness list already handed in, that is very unlikely.
