Please explain your experience: I visited the Whaley House for the first time in 2001, and experienced a haunting. Before this occurred, I felt a cold spot in a downstairs doorway. I was in the theater while there were some people taping Mr. and Mrs. Whaley's bedroom. The second they turned their camera off, a chair in the back of the room floated and then hit the wall, creating a bang sending almost everyone on the second story screaming downstairs. I went over to the room. I saw someone appear at the site of the chair, and silently run across the room, disappearing before a curtain that led to a passage to the theater. He moved the curtain of the closed window over the lamp on a table that was flush with the wall. He also ruffled the carpet because he ran so fast. He looked so real that I thought he was a real person, except for the fact that he had vanished. Since I saw this haunting, I was allowed to go inside the room. There were no cameras, strings, trap doors, or anything of the sort.
