Pardon sought for last 'witch'
Campaigners have submitted a petition to the Scottish Parliament calling for the last woman convicted under the Witchcraft Act to be pardoned.
Another petition calls for the pardon of all people convicted in Scotland under witchcraft legislation. Both petitions have been organised by a paranormal group, Full Moon Investigations.
The last woman to be convicted under the 1735 Witchcraft Act was Helen Duncan, who spent nine months in Holloway prison after being convicted at a trial in 1944.
