A small town, with no residents in Texas has been snapped up online for US $3 million. It seems that owning your own town is now as simple as going to e-Bay and making a bid.
The town of 'Albert' is located on the outskirts of San Antonio and boasts a school, dance hall and a pub.
Bobby Cave, who currently owns the town said he was trying to confirm the deal. The ghost town is currently used for weekend gatherings of tourists, who enjoy "good songs and cold beer" according to the official website at www.alberttexas.com
The town's actual population currently consists of Mr Cave and a gardener who only visits at the weekend.
The prime property dates from 1877 when several farmers moved from nearby Fredericksburg looking for grazing land for their cows.
If the mystery Italian bidder comes forward, he will also get an icehouse and a shed for a tractor.
