No it's not a Halloween prank: The coffin found dumped at a bus stop
It looks like a classic Hallowe'en prank.
But this unsettling scene took a more gruesome turn after passers-by realised that the abandoned coffin was deadly serious - and destined for a real occupant.
The apparition materialised by the side of a busy main road - and right next to a bus stop - in Dukinfield, Manchester, appropriately enough on October 31.

Abandoned: Mystery still surrounds the appearance of the coffin at the bus stop
Barely able to believe their eyes, school boys Glenn Ellis and Daniel Ryan went to investigate further.
To their shock the casket bore someone's name and had their measurements. But when they checked inside, they discovered the box was empty and captured the scene on camera before calling the council.
Daniel, 15, a pupil, said: "At first we thought it was a Hallowe'en prank. But it looked as though it had somebody's name and the size of the body on it. It was pretty spooky, but thankfully there was no body inside.
"We heard that it had fallen off the back of a lorry and was being taken to a nearby funeral directors."
Daniel's dad Mick picked his son and 14-year-old friend Glenn up from the bus stop.
Mick, 40, from Dukinfield, said: "There was no hearse nearby or anything. It was very weird. The lads took lots of photos before it was collected by the workmen and taken to the crematorium."
A spokesman for Tameside council confirmed the coffin had been found on the road by a member of the public and staff had taken it to Dukinfield crematorium.
