Features Other hauntings in our midst By Elizabeth Morse Sun Staff Writer Hotel Jerome- Aspen -
Tales are told of sightings of a lost, shivering and soaking wet boy in Room 310 of the Hotel Jerome. Staff members on occasion have seen small wet footprints. At that time of the first sighting, no children were registered in the hotel. Legend has it that a child had drowned in the hotel's original swimming pool. Room 310 is located right in the middle of an addition to the hotel that was built over that original pool.
The Hotel Colorado-Glenwood Springs - After a naval officer and a physician discovered they were seeing the same nurse they murdered her in Room 454. They tried to hide the body in a freight elevator but were discovered. The two men left town quietly, and the nurse was buried in Glenwood's Cemetery. Guests in Room 454 were awakened to screams, yells and sightings of a woman's bloody body, so often that the hotel has converted Room 454 to a storage room.
