EXCLUSIVE: ME & GHOST OF DI Mar 26 2006 She's given her blessing to Wills & Kate marrying... She's convinced Harry & Chelsy will split up... She says crash she died in was NOT an accident... She's told me the Queen will out live Charles... By Susie Boniface
THE woman Diana turned to for spiritual guidance says the dead Princess has "spoken to her" - and given her blessing to son William marrying girlfriend Kate Middleton. But, says psychic healer Simone Simmons, Diana does not believe her youngest son Harry is truly in love with his girlfriend Chelsy Davy - and the couple are destined to split. Simone, 49, once spoke to Diana on an almost daily basis - and now claims the princess has been in touch with her "hundreds of times" since her death in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Her claims will enrage Diana's closest friends, who are already furious the psychic has cashed in by writing two books about Diana and holding a televised "seance" in which she tried to contact her spirit. But Simone brushes aside all criticism. "I know I sound like a crank but it's true," she says. "If I did not have psychic powers Diana would never have sought me out and consulted me when she was alive. She has now told me she is so glad that William has found Kate and says, 'It's love'. She is hoping they will marry. She thinks Kate is not spoilt - she really likes that about her - and that she will be a rock in William's life."
But when it comes to tear away younger son Prince Harry, Diana is not so sure about his choice of girlfriend, says Simone. Zimbabwe-born Chelsy, 21, has been dating the prince for two years. But there is disapproval of her in royal circles because of her party lifestyle and her businessman father's past links to African dictator Robert Mugabe.
According to Simone, Diana is also sceptical about the affair. She says: "She thinks Harry is not in love and that relationship will run its course. That is not to say it is not meaningful." Despite those who dismiss her claims as outlandish, Simone says: "Diana comes to me at important times. She first came immediately after her death complaining she could not get back into her body.
"Diana says the car crash in which she left this existence was not an accident. And no, she was not pregnant at the time. "I have since had hundreds of visits from her. The most recent was a few weeks ago. She wakes me from time to time in the morning. "Her visits last from a few seconds to a few minutes. The most recent was a few weeks ago.
"She is looking great. She dresses in more vibrant blues and pastel colours than before and is in a beautiful plane of existence. Some people would call it heaven." Simone says Diana's spirit has revealed her thoughts about the Duchess of York, Prince Charles, Mohammed Al Fayed - whose son Dodi died alongside her in the crash - and her £5.2million memorial fountain in Hyde Park.
Simone claims: "Diana says she is sad she did not patch things up with the Duchess of York before she died. And she is worried about Charles' health and believes that the Queen will outlive him. She is glad he did marry Camilla, but she does not talk much about her. Nor does she ever mention Dodi, although she feels sorry for his father. She is interested in all her causes and has been re-united with Mother Teresa of Calcutta and they take a constant interest in world events. Diana says the invasion of Iraq will herald World War Three. She has not mentioned George Bush by name but says America has lit the fuse by supporting corrupt oil states.
"As for the Diana memorial fountain in Hyde Park...forget it. 'Not in my name', she says. They should get rid of it and turn it into flower beds and a toddlers' play area. Then they should fund a hospital or hospice bearing Diana's name." Not surprisingly, Simone also says Diana still misses her sons. "Despite the fact she is happy she does miss not being on Earth, simply because she wants to be here for the boys," she says.
Unmarried Simone, who lives with her three cats in a tower block in Hendon, North London, first met the princess after she quit her job as a medical secretary to become an "energy healer" at the alternative Hale Clinic in London's Regents Park. She says Diana asked her to visit Kensington Palace in 1993 to cleanse it of bad spirits there. Eight months before she died Diana, fed up with constant phone calls, changed her numbers and cut off all contact with the psychic.
Fifteen months after her death, Simone published her first book - which detailed Diana's affair with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan and claimed the princess had stabbed herself with a fork after married art dealer Oliver Hoare ended their relationship.
Her second book Diana, The Last Word, which has just come out in paperback, made even more controversial allegations, claiming Diana had a passionate fling with John Kennedy Jr - who died in a plane crash in 1999 and was the son of assassinated US president JFK. It also claimed Diana experimented with cocaine and that Prince Philip had demanded a DNA test on Prince Harry to prove he was Charles's son. Simone recently gave evidence to former Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens's inquiry into Diana's death.
