For all the news of houses both haunted and crazy, we turn to Curbed NY...

1) Staten Island: The Staten Island mansion that once belonged to inventor of the Nabisco sugar wafer is on the market for $1.74 million and let's just say that the place has seen better days. But it's not hard to see how incredible the house once was, and could be again. It would also currently make a great place for some creepy fashion shoots.
2) Midtown East: The 18,000-square-foot penthouse that ODA Architecture designed in the Trump World Tower for (probably) billionaire Chinh E. Chu is absolutely insane. And now our prayers have been answered, 49 photographs of the mammoth apartment's interiors have been released.
3) Dumbo: Empire Stores, a group of abandoned coffee warehouses on the Brooklyn waterfront, have sat dormant for about half a century. Now they're getting a huge makeover and bunch of commercial tenants but before any of that had a chance to happen, we sent a photographer inside the decaying landmark. The pictures are quite something.
4) West Chelsea: If you own a $3 million condo in Manhattan and you want to put it on the market, you probably shouldn't try to take the listing photos yourself. If you'd like to understand why, just look at the difference between the photos that an Irish retail heir took of his own West Chelsea pad and the photos a professional took after the place failed to sell for a year.
