I'm still of two minds regarding the addition of Rapunzel's tower near the Haunted Mansion at Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
On the one hand, let's face it, the tower looks great — just like the cartoon version in "Tangled" turned into reality. It will certainly be a great backdrop to meeting Rapunzel (and I hope Flynn Ryder, too).
On the other hand, it does create a rather odd view from the Haunted Mansion entrance area. Fantasyland suddenly seems really close to Liberty Square the way those two structures back onto each other.
Perhaps the hope is that the already tall trees between them will grow even taller. (I picture Disney horticulturalists can start giving them some kind of plant steroid.)
But it's more likely that the popularity of "Tangled" — and the chance to meet another Disney princess — will far outweigh a slightly bizarre sightline.
