You may remember the story we covered in August of the ghost hunters investigating paranormal activity at the Old Jail Museum in Sandersville.
Later, the ghost hunters determined that there is some evidence of paranormal activity.
The investigators from Lost Souls Paranormal sent a report with some video evidence and strange noises that they heard when they spent the night at the Old Jail in August.
Loretta Cato of Washington County says while they are glad to have the evidence, they always knew there was a ghost here.
"We have noticed different things happening that were not normal and not just one person, but several of us have felt these spirits. And different things have happened, and we witnessed it. So we knew there was something here," said Cato.
Cato says they always believed that a ghost named Essie lives here. She died in 1905 at just sixteen when her clothes caught on fire while she was standing by the fireplace.
Cato said they plan to talk more about the supernatural presence at the Old Jail Museum in their tours. She said since the investigators visit they have seen about a 33 percent increase in visitors since August.
