If you haven’t seen the latest preview of the upcoming Ghost Hunters episode, it is filled with ominous voice-overs stating that ‘TAPS will never be the same.’ and scenes of various team members hugging and crying. Currently the preview is not available online so you’ll just have to trust me on this, I’ll post the preview as soon as Syfy.com shows up to work this week and gets it posted.

So now we sit and speculate about who could be leaving the show or at least some of us do. Myself, I’m 99.9% sure I know exactly who is leaving the show. No, I don’t get any insider information, in fact, I’m pretty darn sure that there is at least 1 member of the team that would be much happier if I didn’t exist, but we aren’t talking about Adam ‘The Actor’ Berry right now. I don’t even get preview disks from Syfy.com even though their Public Relations manager, Maureen Granados promised them to me ages ago. I just watch the show like the rest of you and keep on top of who’s doing what, where and with whom outside of the show as best I can as well.

So. Whom do I believe is leaving the show? Well, let’s analyze the footage from the preview clip shall we? First off we see, seated around a table, Adam Berry, Amy Bruni, David Tango, Steve Gonsalves and Britt Griffith while we hear Amy say “I wonder if it’s good news or bad news?” Which tells us what? The people with the ‘news’ aren’t present at the table! The scene then flashes to Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson standing on what looks like a porch, talking. Inference – Jason and Grant are the people ‘breaking the news.’ Easy right?

Now, let’s look at who is doing what. Posted to Twitter not long ago was a call to get tickets to the latest event going on up at "The Spalding Inn." In case you live under a rock, "The Spalding Inn" is the property in New Hampshire that is co-owned by Jason and Grant and that was deemed haunted by a Ghost Hunters International team led by Robb Demarest. So what does that have to do with who is leaving Ghost Hunters? A quick check of the web page about this event yields “A limited number of guests will gather for the weekend, with Jason Hawes, Haily Hawes and Britt Griffith all from the SYFY show The Ghost Hunters!” Seems someone is missing doesn’t it? It’s kind of odd that there would be a ghost hunt going on at Grant’s inn and he wouldn’t be a part of it, no? There are also a couple of other events, Rose Island Lighthouse for example, that has this same team doing an investigation and yet, no Grant.

So yes. My guess as to who is leaving Ghost Hunters would be Grant Wilson. Grant has always been the weakest link on the show. He has taken more than his share of controversy with the collar-gate episode and then also Meat Loaf’s water-bottle. There was a point in time when the man was tweeting on a regular basis but his tweets totally fizzled out for the past several months but this past week he has re-emerged on Twitter. It is all kind of odd.

Going back to the preview of next week’s Ghost Hunters we do see a lot of tears, mainly from Steve Gonsalves, but then again, I get the feeling that Steve needs a hanky on a regular basis anyway. The scene of Amy Bruni being hugged is also quite revealing, the sleeves on the arms that are hugging her are light grey and there is a distinctive braided leather bracelet on the wrist. Yup, Grant again. It seemed to be such an emotional scene that I’m sure there were group hugs all around but … But …. Yeah. My money is still on Grant.

I suppose it will remain to be seen who is actually leaving. If anyone at all. Don’t forget, the Ghost Hunters are notorious for taking the most suggestive piece of video … like Steve and Tango screaming like little girls only to have it turn out to be a pigeon-sky-rat that dive bombed them.
