A stylist’s hair stood on end when she checked CCTV footage of her salon – and saw footage of a meddling ghost.

Boss Sally Montague was looking at film after a receptionist’s purse was stolen and saw a ladder moving along the wall by itself.

Staff say the spooky goings-on are the work of nuns who lived in the Derby premises hundreds of years ago.

Sally said: “The cellar had an entrance to a secret tunnel to the cathedral used by nuns. Strange things are always happening – I wouldn’t want to spend a night here!”
