Possible ghosts at Fort Chaffee in west Arkansas to be featured on television show
FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — Disembodied voices of women calling for help at Fort Chaffee will be among the phenomena explored in a cable television show to be aired Friday.
The Travel Channel show "Ghost Adventures" will feature an episode recorded during a weeklong visit to the closed military post in July.
Stephanie Malone, marketing director of the Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority, told the Southwest Times Record that the buildings examined by the video crew included the hospital complex and a so-called "haunted prison" where German prisoners of war were housed in the 1940s and which held unruly Cuban refugees in the 1980s.
