Merrygold has decided that he wants to find somewhere else to live after he became convinced his present home was haunted.

The singer claims that he had supernatural experiences in the north London flat and he has now found himself a new bachelor pad.

Aston told News of the World: "Our place is genuinely haunted.

"I've seen a ghost come into my room and stand over my bed. It was this big shadow.

"At first I thought it was Marvin standing in my doorway but he told me it definitely wasn't."

Marvin claims that the ghostly spirits have caused other famous residents to leave the apartment.

He said: Girls Aloud used to live in the same complex, I think they experienced the same things.

"It used to be a mental institute so it's got a past."
