N.C. Battleship Memorial | Strange happenings have been reported on the North Carolina Battleship Memorial. A night watchman even wrote a book about his ghostly encounters aboard the World War II-era ship.

Now, the public will get another chance to see it all for themselves.

On Aug. 20, four cast members from the SyFy Channel’s “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Hunters International” television shows, as well as local team Research: Paranormal will host a ghost investigation deep in the bowels of the giant hulk.

The four ghost hunters – Donna Lacroix, Brandy Green, Paul Bradford and Ashley Godwin – have never investigated the ship before. Fans will get to work alongside them and meet a special guest, author/investigator Paul Browning.

Doors open for ticket holders at 6 p.m. The meet and greet starts at 6:05 p.m. Guest lectures begin at 6:45 p.m. And the investigation goes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Tickets are $100 and can only be purchased at www.battleshipghi.eventbrite.com. There are no sales at the door, and sales end Aug. 19. Tickets are limited and the last event sold out.

A portion of tickets sales will go to the battleship.
