Update 4pm: I asked Kevin Burkhardt on Twitter if the Mets are staying at the Pfister this year and he said “no.”
Last year Kevin Burkhardt mentioned on SNY the legend of the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. You can hear more about it by watching the video below, but the long and short of it is the place is 107 years old and haunted. Can we blame the 2-0 loss on ghosts and goblins? Hey, the Knicks blamed a loss this season on haunted accommodations so it’s not unprecedented.
Last fall I spoke with a good friend of the show, Mickey Bradley author of the book Haunted Baseball, about various supernatural events around baseball. We talked about curses, ghost stories, and yes the Pfister Hotel.
I am curious is anyone has been to this hotel and can share a personal experience. Maybe a little early for Halloween ghost stories, but this is the Mets and Yanks only trip to Milwaukee this year.
Fortunately Carlos Gomez plays for the Brewers and doesn’t have to worry about the place anymore. You will get the joke after watching the below video.
