Note From Doc Paranormal:
This year’s Million Ghost March is off to a phenomenal start. In the first hour after our press release, a little over 10,000 ghosts said they wanted to “defy logic” and participate! Thanks to all psychic mediums who donated their time to serve as conduits to the Other Side. And double thanks to the rest of you who conveyed the message to spirits both celebrated and familiar.
I gave a heads-up about the event to the organizers of the July 8-11 skeptics convention (called TAM8) and immediately heard back from one Jeff Wagg, who holds the impressive title of Communications and Outreach Coordinator, James Randi Educational Foundation.
I’m not in a position to judge the degree of Mr. Wagg’s concern, but I made a point to reassure him that he–and all TAM8 attendees–would of course survive the 2010 Million Ghost March. The e-mail exchange is here.
Mr. Wagg and worried skeptics should note that the 2010 Million Ghost March is a worldwide event. Never, for a moment, would we again consider asking participants, living or dead to endure the brutal Las Vegas summer heat. We respect them too much for that.
We also respect the right of skeptics to their views, no matter how risible we may find them. The same for their taste in entertainment (i.e. John Lennon impersonators and magicians. Many magicians).
Strictly speaking, the 2010 Million Ghost March to Defy Logic is not even a protest.
It’s a celebration of:
*The human imagination.
*Creativity.
*Diversity. In thought. And action.
*The mystery of our existence. Life is much more than a card trick.
If we can pry open the closed mind of even one skeptic–while entertaining the public and celebrating the imagination–we will consider the Million Ghost March a huge success.
The Million Ghost March is an open event. There is no cost or obligation. Anyone reading this post is encouraged to ask at least one ghost to attend.
