Ralph Esposito is a local author and paranormal investigator who admits he has seen an uptick in people who are willing to talk about mysterious experiences.
"Most people have had something that's happened to them," Esposito says. "Sometimes it's small, other times it's very significant."
Esposito's experiences support the findings from a new study conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. That study showed a narrow majority of Americans say they have had some kind of paranormal experience and almost one-in-three said they believe in ghosts.
"Ghosts are not necessarily something to be scared of," Esposito said.
Esposito's written two books on local ghost stories, "Ghosts of Old Rochesterville" and "Ghosts of Genesee Country".
You can find more information on local hauntings and information about Esposito's ghost walks at his website. Esposito is also hosting a book signing at the Bagel Bin in Brighton on Saturday, January 16 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
