'Twilight' star Ashley Greene may soon be dealing with supernatural creatures of another kind.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 22-year-old actress is in talks to star in 'The Apparition,' a 'Paranormal Activity'-like supernatural suspense thriller being helmed by uber-producer Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment. Set to begin production in early February, the film is reportedly inspired by true events and focuses on a young couple who are quite literally haunted by their past, in this case a trouble-making apparition unleashed during a college experiment.
Greene's interest is a major coup for first-time director Todd Lincoln, who serves double duty as the horror story's writer and who is spearheading the project for niche label Dark Castle, where he developed the pic with co-producers Alex Heineman and Daniel Alter.
With three 'Twilight' films already in the can, Greene has established a presence of her own among the franchise's standout cast as hottie hero Edward Cullen's (Robert Pattinson) sister, Alice. In addition to the vampire blockbusters, the Lee Strasberg Institute-trained actress has four more films set for release, including this month's straight-to-DVD horror flick 'Summer's Blood' on November 10, and she's co-starring opposite 'Twilight''s Kellan Lutz in the upcoming drama 'Warrior.' Greene will next get tween hysteria revved when 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' opens on November 20.
