To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, four people will be allowed to sleepover in the amusement's famous elevator.
The elevator is the room that seems to stretch as visitors enter the mansion and are told there is no way out.
A Los Angeles radio station, KLOS 95.5, hosted a competition for children to share a talent or trick to win Disneyland tickets and a chance to sleepover in the Haunted Mansion. Eight of the best finalists were selected and listeners voted to determine the final four lucky winners.
On Aug. 9, after the amusement park closes, the mansion will stay open for the contest winners and beds will be set up in the elevator.
This is the first time Disneyland has allowed anyone to spend the night at the Haunted Mansion.
