The book cover, along with a number of additional marketing communications pieces, will feature Brittany donning vintage 1950s garb reminiscent of a more innocent time in Americana, intended to highlight the irreverent nature of the book’s funny tales.
“We wanted to pay homage to the classic look and feel from the 1940s and 1950s when toilets and the bathroom were seen as more of a taboo subject, and found that Brittany embodies a fun, nostalgic, mid-century model feel. She’s beautifully and tastefully posed with the porcelain work of art we all pay tribute to,” Roto-Rooter spokesperson Paul Abrams said. “She’s definitely an eye catcher. She is a natural fit for the role and it’s even better that she happens to be from the same city as our corporate headquarters.”
Abrams added that story submissions for the book are still being accepted through May 10, 2009. Stories can be submitted online at www.ChillyTales.com.
The actual Crane toilet used in the promotional materials will be signed by Brittany and Ghost Hunters stars Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, and will be auctioned off at the book’s release party in Greater Cincinnati mid-summer 2009.
Brittany has previously modeled for leading fashion designers in runway shows and national print campaigns. Her agency wryly admits that posing with a toilet marks the first project of its kind in her portfolio. “Hey, I had a great time. The photographers were great, and I’m actually very, very proud of the shots,” she said.
