Paranormal behaviour reported at Coventry nightclub
A GHOST hunt in one of Coventry’s oldest buildings threw up more intriguing questions than it answered.
Paranormal experts investigated reports of a phantom monk at Rainbows nightclub, but made contact with previously unknown spirits, including an old woman and a young boy.
Several smoky wisps – thought to be the first manifestations of ghosts – were also seen during a six-hour vigil at the 500- year-old building in Short Street on Sunday night.
Clinical psychologist David Eves, 36, of Coventry-based Spookhunters, said: “The plot has really thickened.”
The club stands in one of the most heritage-rich areas of the city.
Nearby is one of the city gates leading to the 14th century Whitefriars monastery, where Queen Elizabeth I lectured residents on their frivolous attitude towards religion.
The next ghost hunt at Rainbows is on Sunday, April 5.
