Valkyrie Set Haunted By Hitler!
Written by Vince Pettit
It has been revealed that during the filming of Tom Cruise’s latest film Valkyrie, there was nearly a loss of thousands of dollars worth of sound and camera equipment.
Director Bryan Singer feared for his equipment after a malfunction caused a tank to start moving on it’s own.
Singer said, “We had one tank that malfunctioned and it started rolling on it’s own. It started rolling towards the camera equipment and nothing was stopping it because it’s a tank!”
He revealed that the accident was narrowly avoided after a stuntman had to climb aboard the vehicle, but he feared that there might be something a bit more untoward going on.
“A very brave guy crawled in it and worked the brake system and got it to stop. Maybe the ghost of Hitler was in there!”
Valkyrie, based on a true story launches in the UK on 23rd January 2009 and features Tom Cruise playing the role of Claus von Stauffenberg, a German officer who led an assassination attempt on Hitler in 1944.
