CELEBRITY performer Damon Scott has confessed he was terrified after taking part in a paranormal investigation for charity.
Unexplained knocking, hair pulling and mysterious orbs of light are among the spooky goings-on experienced by ITV's Britain's Got Talent star when he took part in the Famous and Frightened event in London Dungeons earlier this month.
The event was organised by Warminster paranormal investigator Ray Jorden, 37, and medium and Reiki practitioner Jaine Gray, 36 to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Celebrities, including Kinga and Kemal from Big Brother, were split into two groups and taken to separate ends of the dungeon to carry out their investigations.
Speaking to the Wiltshire Times, Mr Scott described how the sounds of names were being picked up on an Electronic Voice Phenomena that is designed to pick up sounds from static noise.
He said: "Names were coming through. It was like listening to a radio. A voice came through and said get out', that was the freakiest thing. We were all trying to think rationally.
"In the Jack the Ripper room I caught an orb on the camera. I always thought it was superimposed but I took digital pictures and I captured a ring around Jaine." TV presenter Russell Spencer, formerly of pop group Scooch, also took part in the paranormal investigation.
Mr Scott, who has been a friend of Mr Jorden's for more than a decade, said: "Kemal screamed at one point because something the size of an acorn flicked at his lip."
A cameraman was also hit on the back of his leg.
"I also felt something pull my hair and turned around and caught an orb with my camera going over the balcony," Mr Scott added.
"All in all it was a freaky night. I'm still a sceptic and I'm always going to try and rationalise it but there's something there.
"When we were asking things to happen it was happening straight away and constantly through the night."
A 20-strong team worked in the dungeons until 3am with frequent reports of doors opening, sensations of being touched and overwhelming feelings of coldness.
Mr Jorden, who is a member of Warminster-based UK5 Paranormal said: "It was a fantastic night and everyone had a great time, the celebrities were great and really got involved."
